God loves faith, He promises to move mountains when He sees even a “Mustard seed” of faith in a person. The Bible tells the story of God doing everything He can to move us to a place of faith and trust. There is a whole chapter in Hebrews 11 that highlights the great exploits of faith taken by the main characters in the Bible. And yet, when we look at the lives of men like Abraham (“Father or faith”) Moses, Elijah, Sarah, David… we also see moments of great doubt, indecision and unbelief. In fact, there is not a person of faith that does not know what it means to doubt. To question the existence of God, His power, or His goodness.

Moments of doubt can be threatening and disillusioning, and sadly man christians for reasons of fear and pride, will not acknowledge the possibility, or worse treat the questioner with derision. But that is never how God deals with honest doubters. He remembers our frames, and that we are but dust. He meets us in mercy, challenging our doubts, and moving us to faith. This week we took a look at the most famous doubter in history, Thomas, and see how Jesus dealt with his doubts and how he deals with ours.
